An eight-year-old boy has died in hospital after he was attacked by two dogs at a house in Dublin.
The boy was mauled by the two Rottweilers on Sunday afternoon in Tallaght, said police.
Emergency services were called to the family home at around 4pm, where they found the boy suffering life-threatening injuries.
The boy was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital but was later transferred to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, where he died on Monday.
No one else in the property was injured.
After the incident, the dogs were taken away and put to sleep.
